Support for UNO comes in many forms-from donations and government grants to volunteer activities and advocacy. While much of this support is direct, alumni, staff, faculty and students support UNO indirectly by engaging one of our affinity partners for services such as travel, insurance, investment or credit cards.  You can purchase a brick which will enhance the front patio of the Homer L. Hitt Alumni and Visitors Center or order an official class ring. 

Our Affinity Partners play two roles: they offer useful benefits to the UNO family while providing generous support to the University for alumni programs, both university-wide and within our facilities and colleges. Currently, UNO has five recognized affinity partners- companies chosen for the quality and integrity of their services. The University of New Orleans Office of Alumni Affairs work collaboratively to make the most of these relationships for our alumni and their university. Show Your Privateer Pride! 

You can contribute $25 to UNO Scholarships by purchasing an official license plate.  The cost is $26 plus your regular tag fee to support The University of New Orleans and UNO Students.  It’s easy to get one.  Ask for the UNO license plate when you purchase your new vehicle, or call the Prestige Plate Unit of the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles in Baton Rouge at 1-877-368-5463 toll free or 225-925-6371 direct or http://www.expresslane.org and give your current license plate number.  They’ll give you credit for the unused time on your current plate, calculate your exact fee, and explain how to place your order.

UNO MasterCard® Credit Card

We're pleased to announce an agreement with a company that can benefit the University of New Orleans Alumni Association. Building Our Presence…Brick by Brick

The Homer L. Hitt Alumni and Visitors Center is a wonderful addition to The University of New Orleans campus and a symbol of remembering the past and embracing the future. The new Hitt Center provides a much needed, long-awaited, on-campus presence for our alumni and pays tribute to Homer L. Hitt, UNO’s first chancellor. Dr Hitt’s vision, dedication and leadership laid the foundation for The University of New Orleans that exists today. The historic smokestack, the only remaining visual symbol of the University of New Orleans’ beginnings as the former New Orleans Naval Air Station, has been incorporated into the design of the new building.

The Hitt Center houses the Office of University Advancement, including the Office of Alumni Affairs, the Alumni Association, and the UNO Federal Credit Union. The new facility serves as a Visitor’s Center for the Office of Admissions, where prospective students and their parents can meet with University representatives. It is a central gathering place for alumni activities, campus organizations, and community groups.

We are inviting you, our UNO alumni and friends, to have your name and the names of those you would like to honor or memorialize on bricks in the front patio area of the new Hitt Center. As an outdoor extension of the building, this patio will be used for individual study or outdoor gatherings, strengthening the current student community while honoring students, alumni, and supporters of The University of New Orleans. Sororities, fraternities, and other organizations can sponsor a commemorative brick as a means of honoring its current membership. Parents, you can honor your graduates and make a mark upon history for generations to come!

You have an opportunity to purchase as many bricks as you would like. To acknowledge your participation, you will receive a beautiful commemorative certificate by mail. There are a limited number of bricks, and they will sell quickly, so we encourage you to act now. We are pleased to present Building Our Presence…Brick by Brick as another opportunity for alumni and supporters to be acknowledged and to become a part of history. Your gift will fund programs and projects of the Alumni Association.

Insurance

The University of New Orleans Alumni Association sponsors an Alumni Insurance Program as a service to alumni. The program offers a variety of attractively priced insurance products, most of which are available to alumni, students, faculty, and staff, as well as their spouses, domestic partners, parents, children, and siblings: Medical Insurance: For those temporarily without coverage, such as the unemployed and recent graduates, and for special situations, including travelers and students.

Life Insurance: Long-term protection with great rates and fantastic features. Coverage is available to $1 million.
